Who are we and what do we do?

Our association was founded in 1958 under the name "Verein der Reiseleiterinnen und Reiseleiter Luzern" (abbreviated VRL) to promote the professional interests of its members in the face of increasing tourism and to establish uniform minimum rates. Over the many years, the association has evolved, grown, and of course, modernized.

With the 2025 general assembly, we have now entered a new era. The website needed a refresh, the long name was no longer contemporary, and it was changed to "GUIDE LUCERNE." In this context, a new logo was, of course, also needed.

In short: a new look and a new name, yet still the same high quality in our work. Every member remains certified, and continuing education is a matter of course for all of us.

The common goal is to provide guests from home and abroad with interesting insights into the history and culture of Lucerne and Switzerland.
